Golden Rule to Decorating

So what should and shouldn't we have in our homes? That's a big question, isn't it? There is so much STUFF that we can sometimes get overwhelmed. To simplify the way you make chooses about your home so that everything has a positive impact follow this rule:

“If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” – William Morris

I believe that William Morris said it well and that this is a simple rule to use when decorating your home.

If something is useful and you find it beautiful, there is certainty that it will most likely bring you joy. That's our goal isn't it... bringing joy and comfort into our lives and home.
